VISIT OF HER ROYAL HIGHNESS PRINCESS MARINA,
DUCHESS OF KENT.
The Prime Minister announced in Canberra tonight
that the following statement had been issued from Kensington
Palace Quote Princess Marina, Duchess of Kent, has been
invited by the Government of the Commonwealth
of Australia to visit Australia in the autumn,
and has accepted this invitation with great
pleasure. The Princess will arrive in Australia towards

I am delighted to have been invited to act
jointly with Sir Alec Douglas-Home as President of the
British Exhibition. Aust'alia 1964+, and I am looking forward
to opening the Exhibition in Sydney in September. My colleague,
the Minister for Trade and Industry, has agreed to be Vice-
President jointly with Mr. Edward Heath and Mr. Duncan Sandys.

in Canberra on 12th and 13th March.
The principal. business of th-e Conference will
be a discussion of Commonwealth proposals for Commonwealth-
State financial arrangements concerning roads, to replace
the existing arrangements which expire on 30th June.

This afternoon the Prime Minister and a committee
of Ministers held a general discussion of the econom'ic situation
with representatives of national organisations. The Prime
Minister, Sir Robert Menzies, said that this had been a further
meeting in the series held over the past two years under a
practice which the Government intended to continue.
