Statement by the Acting Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. J, McEwen, M. P.
The Acting Prime Minister, Mr. McEwen, to-night announced
the itinerary of the Prime Minister, Mr. Menzies, for his return to
Australia. Mr. Menzies will leave London for The Hague on Monday,
June 29. After spending two days in The Hague, he will fly to
Karachi, arriving on Thursday, July 2. He will leave Karachi on
July 3, arriving New Delhi on the same day. He will leave New Delhi

PRIME MINISTER'S VISIT TO INDONESIA.
Statement by the Acting Prime Minister, Rt. Hon, J. Mwen ML.
' The Acting Prime Minister announced that the Prime
Minister, Mr. Menzies, would visit Indonesia for about five days
towards the end of this year.
Mr. McEwen recalled that during his visit to Australia
in February, the Indonesian Foreign Minister, Dr. Subandrio, had
invited Mr. Menzies to pay a visit to Indonesia.:

LOAN COUNCIL AND PREMIERS' CONFERENCE MEETINGS.
Statement by the Acting Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. McEwen. M. P.
The Acting Prime Minister, Mr. McEwen, announced
today the dates of the next Loan Council and Premiers Conference
meetings. They will be held in Canberra on Tuesday, 23rd,
Wednesday, 24th, and Thursday, 25th June.
Mr. McEwen said that the main aim of the Premiers'
Conference will be the comoletion of the discussions held at
the Special Premiers' Conference in March of this year on

Santamaria, Secretary of the National Catholic Rural Movement, upon
a report of an answer by him on a Melbourne television show on

Statement by the Acting Prime Minister the Rt. Hon. J. McEweng M. P.
The. Acting'Prime Minister ( Mr. McEvien) said today the
Prime Minister ( Mr. Menzies) while in Washington had interviewed
the Chairman and Board of Directors of the International Bank to
explore further the Mt. Isa railway loan proposal which the
Commonwealth and Queensland Governments had been sponsoring for

visit of Princess Alexandra, is'proceeding to Sydney and Brisbane
for discussions with each of the State Directors for New South
Wales and Queensland about the programme of Her Royal Highness'
Australian visit.
SMr. Cumming will be in Sydney on May 12 and in Brisbane
on May 13.

AUSTRALIAN IMMl'IGRATION POLICY
Statement by the Prime Minister, Mr. R. G. Menzies
As some question appears to have arisen here in respect of
the Australian immigration policy, I think it desirable to say'
one or two things in order to clarify the position.
The Australian immigration policy has been steadily maintained
for the last 58 years. It is our national desire to
develop in Australia a homogeneous population in order that we
