FUNERAL OF VISCOUNT DUNROSSIL
The following arrangements for the State Funeral and
interment of the late Viscount Dunrossil were announced
officially today. The funeral will take place in Canberra in
the morning of Tuesday, 7th February.
It is the wish of Lady Dunrossil that the services be
conducted jointly by the Church of England and the Presbyterian
Church. His Grace the Most Reverend H. R. Gough, Primato of
Australia smdl Archbishop of Sydney, and the Right Reverend
Dr Alan C. Watson, Moderator-General of the Presbyterian Church

9 MESSAGE TO HER EXCELLENCY VISCOUNTESS DUNROSSIL
The Prime Minister, Mr. Menzies, today sent the
following message to Her Excellency Viscountess Dunrossil
" I have learned with profound grief of the sudden
death of your illustrious husband the Governor-General of
the Commonwealth of Australia.
Lord Dunrossil has served the Crown and the people of
this Commonwealth with distinction and was held in high
esteem by all who knew him. I rocall too his long and
valued service to the Parliament and people of the United

SEARINING-IN OF ADMrIISTRATOR.
The Prime Minister ( Mr. Menzies) announced this evening
that His Excellency General Sir Dallas Brooks, Governor of
Victoria, who holds a dormant Commission from Her Majesty the
Queen, will be sworn in as Administrator of the Government of the
Commonwealth of Australia at Parliament House, Ganberra, tomorrow
Saturday, th February, 1961, at p. m. The prescribed
oaths will be administered by the Chief Justice of the High Court
of Australia The Rt. Hon. Sir Owen Dixon.

Canberra, 18th February, 1961
The Prime Minister ( Mr. Menzies) today announced
the names of the players from whom he will select his Prime
Minister's XI to play against the West Indies at Manuka
Oval, Canberra, on Saturday, February 18th.

FOR PRESS USTRLIAN KEDICAL TEAMS FOR THE
Statement by the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. P. G. Mnjmios
The Prime Minister announced to-day that he had
approved a grant of œ 4,000 tc the Australian Red Cross
Society for work in the Congo.
IThe grant would enable the Red Cross to recruit
two Australian iedical teams to serve for the period
SFebruary/ June 1961.
This is in addition to the grant of œ 15,000
made to the Red Cross in August last year to help the-Society.
send medical assistance to the Congo for a period of about
six months.

The Prime Minister, Mr. Menzies, has sent the
following message to Mr. Nehru on the occasion of India's
National Day, January 26. The message states-

WOOL MARKEING COMlITTEE OF ENQUIRY
Statement by the Prime Minister Rt. Hon. R. G. Menzies.
Late last year I announced that in view of the
importance of the wool industry the Government had agreed to the
request of all the federal wool growing organisations that an enquiry
be arranged into Australian wool marketing methods.
After mature consideration the Government has decided
to appoint an independent Committee of Enquiry comprising a Chairman
and two members. The Chairman will be Sir Roslyn Philp, Justice

pride and thankfulness on the vision, energy, and ability

DUKE OF DEVONSHIRE'S VISIT.

The Prine Minister and Minister for External Affairs
announced today that the Duke of Devonshire who is Parliamentary
Under Secretary of State, Cor nonwealth Relations Office, London,
will briefly visit Australia fron the 1st to the 5th March as part
of a journey to New Delhi where he will lead the United Kingdon
Delegation at an ECAFE Conference.

INTENSIFIED EXPORT DEVELOPMENT
Statement by the Prime Minister.
In relation to the economic measures announced last
November, the Commonwealth Government made it plain that it would
continue to give attention to the need to increase export
income. To give still sharper focus to its activities in this
field, the Government recently established a special Committee
of Ministers, wader the chairmanship of thc Prime Minister, to
carry through a comprehensive and continuous examination of
possible measures to develop exports and to improve our overseas
