Statement by the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. P. G. Mnjmios
The Prime Minister announced to-day that he had
approved a grant of œ 4,000 tc the Australian Red Cross
Society for work in the Congo.
IThe grant would enable the Red Cross to recruit
two Australian iedical teams to serve for the period
SFebruary/ June 1961.
This is in addition to the grant of œ 15,000
made to the Red Cross in August last year to help the-Society.
send medical assistance to the Congo for a period of about
six months.
