The Prime Minister and the Treasurer today had valuable
discussions with representatives of the Business Council
of Australia on aspects of the Government's tax package
of particular interest to business.
They were apprised of the details of changes announced
today by the Government on the Imputation System and
other aspects of the September package.
It was agreed that further consultations will be held in
February to discuss details of the operation of some of
the measures.

JOINT STATEMENT BY THE PRIME MINISTER, MR HAWKE, AND THE SOUTH
AUSTRALIAN PREMIER, MR BANNON
An agreement to transfer the Port Augusta-Woomera high tension
power line from Commonwealth to South Australian Government
ownership was signed today.
Mr Hawke and Mr Bannon said the transfer was a significant step
towards transforming the Woomera village from a Defence
Department establishment into a normal Australian town.
They said Commonwealth and State officials had been discussing

Australian Rock Company and the Human Rights Commission
will present the Priority One Summer Rock Concert at

IT GIVES ME GREAT PLEASURE TO BE HERE TONIGHT FOR THE
PRESENTATION OF THE NATIONAL TOURISM AWARDS.
LAST YEAR'S AWARDS, THE INAUGURAL PRESENTATION, WERE MOST
SUCCESSFUL AND IN THIS REGARD I SHOULD LIKE TO CONGRATULATE
MR BROWN ON HIS INITIATIVE IN INSTITUTING SUCH A NOTEWORTHY
