ADELAIDE AIRPORT
The Commonwealth has agreed to provide a separate
international passenger terminal at Adelaide Airport.
The decision follows discussions on 6 November
between myself and the Premier of South Australia.
It recognises the importance both governments place
on dstablishing Adelaide as an international
gateway.
A number of airlines, including Qantas, have
expressed an nterest in operating international
services into Adelaide.

my congratulations on your election, and to welcome the
' new National Aboriginal Conference as the major body to
advise the Commonwealth Government on Aboriginal views.

INQUIRY INTO ELECTRICITY GENERATION AND THE
SHARING OF POWER RESOURCES IN SOUTH-EAST
AUSTRALIA
The Prime Minister announced today that h. e had received the
Report of the joint Commonwealth/ State Committee of Inquiry
into Electricity Generation and the Sharing of Power Resouroes
in South-East'Australia. The Premiers of the ' participating
States of New South Wales, South Australia, Tasmania and
Victoria have agreed that the Report be made publicly available

SPEECH AT COMMISSIONING OF
G. M. H. ENGINE PLANT, FISHERMAN'S BEND
I am very pleased to be here today for the commissioning of
this new G. M. H. engine plant.
The plant represents a significant investment in the future
of Australia. It surely reflects confidence in the stability
and the~ economic prospects of this country. For six years,
the Government has worked consistently to encourage this
kind of confidence, to help create the conditions in which

ELECTORATE TALK
On a visit to South Australia at the weekend I was privileged
to open a new swimmning pool for the handicapped at Minda Homes
in Adelaide. This pool will both serve therapeutic purposes
) and provide an avenue for recreation. The opportunities
for rehabilitation offered by the Minda swimming pool are
an example of the contribution being made throughout Australia
by indivi'duals, voluntary agencies, organisations and
governments in an effort to assist handicapped and disabled

of Minda's newest facility, this splendid hydrotherapeutic
complex. The work of Minda is well-klown as is its determination to improve
the condition and lives of disabled people. tMinda has a
long history of service in this field. I believe it was

MEMBERSHIP OF THE OFFICIAL ESTABLISHMENTS TRUST
I am pleased to announce the appointment of Mr J G ( Jock)
Gosse and Mrs Frank Crean as members of the Official
Establishments Trust.
The terms of appointment of two of the inaugural members of
the Trust, the Hon James Cope, CMG, and Dame Helen Blaxland, DBE,
were completed last month.
Both made valuable contributions to the work of the Trust
during the initial period of its operations.
The five member Trust is chaired by Sir Andrew Grimwade, CBE.
