Mr. K. W. Witney will be relinquishing the position of
Senior Administrator next month, and resuming his employment
with the A. N. Z. Banking Group.
Mr. R. G. Harvey, at present the Senior Assistant Secretary
of the Operations Division of the Department of Prime Minister
and Cabinet, will take up the position of Senior Administrator.

THE 1982 ROYAL VISIT
I announced on 4 November 198 1 that The Queen, accompanied
by The Duke of Edinburgh, would visit Australia to attend
the XII Commonwealth Games in Brisbane. The Queen later
accepted the Government'is invitation to extend her visit to
include Canberra so as to open the Australian National Gallery
and to visit the Northern Territory and New South Wales.
Her Majesty has approved a program of engagements in Darwin
on 5 6 Octo'ber, Brisbane 6 9 October, Canberra 9 13

EVALUATION OF GALBALLY REPORT

STATEMENT ON TAXATION AND INDUSTRY ASSISTANCE MEASURES
The Government has completed a major review of its industry
and related policies. It has done so against the background
of deteriorating economic conditions abroad and in Australia;:
