GOVERNMENT MEASURES FAR REACHING (STATEMENT BY SIR JOHN ALLISON, K.B.E., CHAIRMAN OF THE EXPORT DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL)
GOVERNZNT TASURES FAR REACHING.
( Statement by Sir John Allison, K. B. E.,
Chairman of the Export Development Council)
Sir John Allison, chairman of the Export
Development Council today made the following comment in
Sydney on the economic proposals outlined by the Prime
Minister ( Mr. Menzies) last night.
" The measures adopted are wise and far-reaching.
The vital first step of consumer spending will be encouraged,
and this will be followed by industrial and business confidence.
The Government's determination to have growth
with reasonable stability will have the endorsement of
export bodies. It is just the stimulus the economy needs".
