VISIT OF ROYAL HIGHNESS PRINCESS MARINA,
DUCHESS OF KENT
Statement by the Prpiie Minister, the Rit. Hon. Sir Robert Menzies
The following appointments in relation to the
visit of Her Royal Highness Princess Mlarina, Duchess of Kent,
have been made To be Commonwealth Director
Mr, J. H. Scholtens,
Director of the Ceremonial and
Hospitality Branch of the
Prime Minister's Department
To be Commonwealth Press Relations Officer-
Mr, C. G. Hartnett of the
Premier's Department in the
New Southi Wales Government
To be Assistant Private Secretary to
Her Royal Highness
Mr, W. Heseltine

BACKGROUND, Mr. Scholtens has been associated with the arrangements
for a series of Royal visits and was Chief Executive
Officer for the visit of Her Majesty The Queen last year,
Mr. Hartnett has been the Press Relations Officer
for the New South Wales Royal Visit Organisation over a period
of years. With the approval of the New South Wales Government,
he will be on loan to the Commonwealth Royal Visit Organization
for the visit of Princess Marina.
Mr. feseltine is to take up duty at Buckingham
Palace early next year as Assistant Information Officer. He will
be attached to Princess Marina's Household as Assistant Private
Secretary during the time Her Royal Highness is in Australia from
26th September to 8th October.
