QUEEN MOTHER
Statement by the Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. Sir Robert Menzies
The Prime Minister announced in Canberra today
that Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother had accepted
the following itinerary for her visit to Australia next year
which is primarily for the purpose of opening the Third
Adelaide Festival of Arts

After Dinner Arrive at Canberra by air
from New Zealand
Engagements in Canberra.
Leave Canberra by air for Hobart.
Engagements in Tasmania
Leave Burnie by H. M. Y. BRITANNIA
for Adelaide
Arrive at Port Adelaide
Engagements in South Australia.
Leave Port Adelaide by H. M. Y.
BRITANNIA for journey to
Fremantle.
En route to Fremantle H. M. Y. BRITANNIA will
anchor off Esperance, Albany and Bunbury to
enable Her Majesty to make brief calls ashore.

Depart from Perth by air for
London.
The Prime Minister also said that a programme of
engagements is now being prepared for Queen Elizabeth's
Australian visit and that an announcement of these details
would have to wait until the proposals have been referred to
and accepted by Her Majesty.
