Sketches of the Memorial Stone which will be placed over the grave of the late Lord Dunrossil in St. John's Churchyard, Canberra, are released to the Press today.
The Memorial Stone was designed by Mr. Derek Wrigley, University Designer, Australian National University, and was approved recently by the late Lord Dunrossil's widow. The design is for a simple base stone and headstone in green Bowral trachyte with white Wombeyan marble facings. The inscription plaque will be in bronze, The stone masonry will be carried out by D. B, Acton Pty. Ltd. of Sydney and the inscription plaque will be cast by Wm,, Bedford Ltd. of Melbourne.
Preliminary work on the grave surrounds has been carried out by Parks and Gardens Section of the Department of the Interior and it is expected that the Memorial Stone will be placed in position early next year.
