FROM PRESIDENT-ELECT, SENATOR JOHN F. IENNEDY
The President-Elect of the United States, Senator
John F. Kennedy, has sent the following message to the Prime
riinister, Mr. Menzies
Many thanks for the generous message of good will
upon my election to the Presidency of the United States.
I warmly welcome the expression of cooperation from you
and your colleagues of the Government of Australia.
Our two nations share many common tasks, both in
our domestic affairs, and in our world responsibilities.
I knowr that the association among our peoples will become
even firmer in the years ahead.
' Jith every good wish, John F. Kennedy"
The message was delivered in Canberra today by the
United States Ambassador, Mr. 1William J. Sebald.
The Prime Minister sent the following message to the
President-Elect after the recent Presidential Elections:
My colleagues and I send you our congratulations
on your election to the great office of President.
In the discharge of your immense international
responsibilities you may be assured of Australian
co-operation and goodwill."
