The Prime Minister will travel to Singapore on 29 May to deliver the keynote address at the 8th Shangri-La Dialogue.
The Shangri-La Dialogue is the pre-eminent defence and security gathering in the Asia Pacific.
It is hosted annually by the Government of Singapore and the International Institute for Strategic Studies.
This year the Dialogue will be held from 29 to 31 May and will be attended by defence and foreign ministers and military chiefs from around 25 countries.
This year's event will be an opportunity for regional policy makers to discuss strategic challenges facing the Asia Pacific and the need for countries to work together to strengthen economic, political and security cooperation.
In Singapore the Prime Minister will meet with the Prime Minister of Singapore, HE Mr Lee Hsien Loong, and Minister Mentor, HE Mr Lee Kuan Yew, and regional ministers at the dialogue.
