SUGGESTED PREMIERS' CONFERENCE
Statement by the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. R. G. Menzies
The Prime Minister, Mr. Menzies, announced this
morning that he had received a telegram from the Premier of
New South Vales, Mr. Heffron, asking him to arrange a special
Premiers' Conference to discuss the effect of margins on State
finances. Mr. Menzies has acknowledged the telegram and will
be in touch again with Mr. Heffron after he has discussed the
matter with his Cabinet colleagues.
