VISIT BY H. R. H. THE PRINCE OF THE NETHERLANDS
The Prince of the Netherlands, who will be the guest of the
Government for his visit to Australia, will be given a ceremonial
welcome on-arrival at R. A. A. F. Base Fairbairn, at iioon on Thursday,
1 February. His Royal Highness and party will travel in a Netherlands
Government aircraft and make a short transit stop at Darwin and
an overnight stop at Townsville en route to Canberra.
They will remain in Australia until the morning of 8 February,

AUSTRALIAN RATIFICATION OF NUCLEAR NON-PROLIFEATION
AND SEABED ARMS CONTROL TREATIES
0The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr E. G. Whitlam, announced
today that arrangements had been made for Australia to ratify two
Treaties relating to the control of nuclear weapons the Nuclear
Non-Proliferation Treaty and the Seabed Arms Control Treaty.
Mr Whitlam said that instruments of ratification were being
deposited today by Australian representatives in the three depository
capitals, London, Washington and Moscow.

given to the decision by the New Zealand Government at its Cabinet
meeting yesterday which I attended to help the Australian Government
get a start with a Dental Therapist Scheme in the schools a School

TRIBUTE TO FORiME P2ESIDEiT LYTDON B. JOHNSON
Lyndon Johnson will be remembered as one of the great
reforming Presidents of the United States. Nothing should be
allowed to diminish the memory of this achievement.
He came to office in the most difficult and tragic
circumstances and assumed his great responsibilities with
valour and distinction. HIe went on to secure, in the Presidential
election in 1964, the greatest popular mandate in the history
of the Republic. Under his Administration, the 90th Congress
