Menzies in the House of Representatives on
November, 1965
The Commonwealth has adopted a new policy to assist
independent schools in the Australian Capital Territory and in
the Northern Territory to finance the construction of primary
and secondary school buildings and associated facilities.
For the last ten years, the Australian Government
has been helping this construction in the Australian Capital

Statement by the Prime Minister, Sir Robert Menzies
The Prime Minister, Sir Robert Menzies will make
a short visit to Perth this week to hold talks with the
Minister for Defence Senator Paltridge who is recuperating
from a recent operation.
The Prime Minister said today that he proposed
taking advantage of this week's Parliamentary recess to
call on his colleague and discuss some Defence matters.

I notice at least one Presbyterian Minister here
today, and he at least will understand me when I say that this
is a work of superero) ation. The building has been open for
twelve months. ILaughler) I have every reason to suppose it
was open when I was over the road making rude remarks about
it a year ago. And so with that fashion for accuracy that
characterises a politician, I retrospectively declare it open.

I want to tell you in the first place that these pieces
of fabric, precariously woven are warmly received. That is the
huntin tartan in what is called in Scotland the old vegetable dye,
( Laughter) which only goes to show that even Webster can be up to

VISIT BY CROJ PRINCE OF LAOS
Statement by the Prime Minister, Sir Robert Menzies
The Crown Prince of Laos, His Royal Highness,
Prince Vong Savang, will make a twelve day visit to
Australia next month.
The Government warmly welcomes this visit, which
reflects the friendship existinZ between our two countries.
The Crown Prince, who will arrive on the 19th
of Dovember, will visit the mainland States, C:. nberra and
