Appointment of CEO of Efficiency Scrutiny Unit

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Mr A J Ayers, AO, as Chief Executive Officer of the Efficiency Scrutiny Unit, working for Mr David Block as Head of the Unit.
Mr Ayers has had a long career in Government service and for the past five years has held with distinction the post of Secretary of the Department of Social Security.
Mr Ayers will take up his new appointment on Monday 27 October.
