I spoke to David Lange last night and offered him the
warmest congratulations of the Australian Governmnent and
the Australian Labor Party on the New Zealand Labor
Party's handsome electoral victory.
I offered him the fullest co-operation of the Australian
Government in achieving an even stronger relationship
between our two countries.
I look forward to renewing personal contact with Mr. Lange
in Port Moresby and Tuvalu next month.
