THE QUEEN'S MESSAGE
The Prime Minister sent the following message to Her
Majesty the Queen last night on her departure from
Australia: I want to emphasise on behalf of all Australians
what I said to you at your departure from
Melbourne that we have all been delighted to
have you again in Australia with Prince Phillip.
Your few days with us have been crowded with
events the opening of the High Court and full
programmes in Melbourne and Sydney. The strain
on you both has been-very heavy.
We are grateful to you for your willingness to.
spend the extra days here and to undertake the
heavy schedule.
We hope that your flight back to London will be
a pleasant and safe return.
The following message in reply was received by the
Prime Minister from the Royal Aircraft Regal I:
Thank you for your kind message on my departure
from Australia. I have been very touched by the
. wonderfwuell come given to us during these last
few days, and I send my warmest good wishes to
