PRIME MINISTER'S VISIT TO HOBART
The Prime Minister and Mrs Whitlam will visit Hobart
at the weekend.
They will leave Sydney at 12.15 pm on Saturday,
accompanied by the Government Leader in the Senate,
Senator Ken Wriedt and Mrs Wriedt.
On his arrival at 2.00 pm Mr Whitlam will drive to
the Bellerive ferry terminal and meet Eastern Shore
residents and councillors before catching a ferry to the
city. The Prime Minister and Mrs Whitlam will attend a
reception given by the Lord Mayor of Hobart at 5.30 pm
in the Town Hall. They will dine privately and later in
the evening attend a performance of the Royal Shakespeare
Company production " The Hallow Crown" at the
Theatre Royal.
On Sunday the Prime Minister and Mrs Whitlam will
drive from Hobart through Brigewater, Brighton and Tea Tree
to Richmond. Mr Whitlam will meet Hobart business and
press representatives at the home of Ray Sherry MHR,
Labor member for Franklin. He will hold a press conference
there at 10.30 am before attending a luncheon for 300
Hobart people.
The Prime Minister and Mrs Whitlam will leave Hobart
for Sydney at 4'. 00 pm.
