VISIT BY THE PRINCESS ANNE AND CAPTAIN-MARK PHILLIPS
The Prime Minister, Mr Whitlam, announced today that
the following statement had been issued from Buckingham Palace.
" The Princess Anne, Mrs Mark Phillips, and
Captain Mark Phillips, have accepted with very
much pleasure the invitation from the Australian
Government and from the Government of South
Australia to visit South Australia in April next
to attend the International Equestrian Expo 1975.
Her Royal Highness and Captain Phillips plan..-
to leave London after competing in the Badminton
Horse Trials from 16 to 19 April and are expected
to be in Adelaide on 25 April for Expo 1975.
From South Australia they will visit Western
Australia and the Northern Territory before
returning to London on 7 May."
The Prime Minister said that he was sure that the
Royal couple would be most warmly welcomed to South Australia..
" I share with the South Australian Premier qreat pleasure
that Her Royal Highness and Captain Phillips will visit
South Australia for the International Equestrian Expo 1975."
Precise dates for the itinerary have yet to be decided.
Consultations will take place to prepare a program and the
details will be announced as soon as possible.
