PRIME MINISTER APPROVES GRANTS OF $ 410,397 FOR TIE ARTS
The Prime Minister, Mr Whitlam, today approved grants for
the arts totalling $ 410,397.
The grants were recommended by the Australian Council for
the Arts and four of its Boards.
Aboriginal Arts, Crafts, Theatre and Visual Arts are
represented in the total. The International and
Entrepreneur-ial Programme and the Community Arts Fund
of the Council also recommended grants.
They cover artists and their activities in all States.

Details of the previously announced Music Board grants
totalling $ 98,828, which include a special award to
Peter Sculthorpe of $ 36,000, are listed below as are
