AUSTRALIAN REPRESENTATION AT MEMORIAL SERVICE
FOR FORMER PRESIDENT TRUMAN
The Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr Whitlam,
said today that he had asked the Australian Ambassador to the United
States, Sir James Plimsoll, to return to Washington somewhat earlier than
he had originally planned so that he could represent Australia at the
Memorial Service for former President Truman.
The Memorial Service for President Truman will be held at the
Washington Cathedral on 5 January.
