AUSTRALIAN GOVERZThENT GAZETTE
The Prime Minister, Mr. E. G. Whitlam, 14. P.,
announced today that the Governor-General, Sir Paul Hasluck,
had on the recommendation of the Government issued a direction
for the Australian Government Gazette to be published in place
of the Commonwealth of Australia Gazette from 1 July 1973.
In making his announcement, the Prime Minister said that this
change had been foreshadowed in amendments to the Acts
Interpretation Act which were passed by the Parliament in the
Autumn session.
