DUKE OF EDINBURGH'S AWARD SCHEME
In October The Duke of Edinburgh will arrive in Australia
a few days in advance of The Queen to attend an Australian/ Pacific
Conference for the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme.
The Conference is to take place in Canberra on Monday
and Tuesday 16 October and it is hoped that a number of Pacific
Islands will be represented.
After The Queen's departure from Australia following the
opening of the Sydney Opera House His Royal Highness plans to
stay on and visit each of the Australian States to make contact
with Award Scheme groups.
His Royal Highness is expected to arrive in Canberra on
Sunday 14 October and to leave Australia early in November.
