THE PRIE MINISTER'S VISIT TO AMERICA AD PRITAIN
The Prime Minister ( Mr M'cMahon) will leave Australia
on Wednesday 27 October on his way to Wahsington and London for
talks with President Nixon of the United States and Mr Heath,
Prime Minister of Britain.
Mr McMahon will be accompanied by Mrs Mclahon and his
personal staff. The working team accompanying the Prime
Minister will include the Secretary of the Department of the
Prime Minister and Cabinet ( Sir John Bunting) and the Secretary
of the Department of Foreign Affairs ( Sir Keith Waller) who is
now overseas and will join him in USA. There will be other
advisers from these and other relevant Departments.
The Prime Minister and Vrs [ cMahon will arrive in New
York on Thursday 28 October and proceed to Washington on Saturday
October where Mr and Mrs McMahon will be the guests of
President ] Tixon at Blair House.
Mr McMahon will have talks with President Nixon on
Tuesday 2 November and with other senior officials of the
Administration while he is in 7ashington.
The Prime Minister and his party will leave Washington
at the end of the week for New York and London.
He will have talks with the British Prime Minister
on Tuesday 9 November and will be entertained by Mr Heath at
dinner during his stay.
Discussions with other . inisters of the British
Gavernment are also being arranged.
Return travel arranqements are still to be completed.
