RE-APPOINTIMENT OF SIR ALEXANDER DOWNER
Statement by the Prime Minister, Mr. William McMahon
Sir Alexander Downer, has been re-appointed
as High Commissioner for Australia in the United Kingdom
for a further term until 24 October 1972.
Sir Alexander has been serving Australia's interests
in the United Kingdom with great distinction for almost
seven years, and I am very grateful that he has agreed
to carry on for another year.
