ECONOMIC CONSULTATIONS
Statement by the Prime Minister, Mr John Gorton
Invitations have been extended to representatives of national organisations
to meet with Ministers next month.
These consultations, whch are held at half-yearly intervals, are most
useful in keeping Ministers informed of the views of those directly involved in
commerce and industry.
On 4 February, Ministers will meet three groups of representative
organisations Primary Industry, Manufacturing Industry and Commerce.
Representatives of the Export Development Council and the Manufacturing
Industries Advisory Council will have separate discussions with Ministers on
February. Representatives of the Australian Council of Trade Unions have
also been invited to meet Ministers on that day.
Below is a list of national organisations invited to take part in these
talks, which will be held in Sydney.
