DEPUTATION ON FOUR WEEKS' ANNUAL LEAVE
The Prime Minister, Mr. Gorton, and the Minister
for Labour and National Service, Mr. Snedden, this afternoon
received a joint deputation on four weeks' annual leave for the
Public Service. The Chairman of the Public Service Board,
Sir Frederick Wheeler, was present, and the deputation comprised:-
Mr. H. J. Souter, Secretary, A. C. T. U.
Mr. D. L. Linehan, President, Council of
Commonwealth Public Service Organisations
Mr. P. R. Munro, Secretary, C. C. P. S. O.
Mr. P. D. Allsop, President, Australian Council
of Salaried and Professional Associations
Mr. W. Richardson, Executive Officer, A. C. S. P. A.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Prime Minister
said that after listening to the case presented by the deputation he
undertook to study it fully and to bring it before Cabinet for
consideration as quickly as possible.
