PRIME MINISTER TO VISIT SOUTH-EAST ASIA
The Prime Minister is to visit Viet Nam, Singapore,
Malaysia and Indonesia next month.
He plans to leave Canberra on 5 June, only three
days after arriving back from the United States. The South-East
Asian visit will last twelve days, and he will return to Canberra on
17 June. Precise details are not yet available but the Prime
Minister is expected to spend three days in Viet Nam, about two days
each in Singapore and Malaysia, and three and a half days in Indonesia.
He will travel in an R. A. A. F. BAC-111 aircraft and
will break his outward journey at Darwin where he will stop the night
of the 5th. He will spend much of the next day in Darwin.
The Prime Minister will be accompanied by Mrs Gorton
and a small group of officials and personal staff.
