Statement by-the Prime Minister. Sir Robert Menzies
President Tsiranana of Kidagascar has accepted
an invitation from the Commonwealth Government to come to
Australia. The visit, the first to Australia by an African
Head of State, will take place from the 9th to 12th of next
month. ( November) Iwarmly wloethis vstby the Huad of
State of a neighbouring country across the Indian Ocean. This
personal contact will further develop the friendly relations
existing between the two countries.
The President will be accompanied by Madam
Tsiranana and members of their personal staff.
