Statement by the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. Sir Robert Menzies
I am now in a position to announce the following
details of my Journey overseas in connection with the meeting
of Commonwealth Prime Ministers in London in July
14+ th JuneDate of departure from Australia
l6th-l9th June Visit to Israel
l9th-2Oth June
2lst-3Oth June
June to
16th July
18th July En route to the United States
via Rome
In the United States
In the United Kingdom
Arrive back in Australia
In Washington, I will have discussions with the
President of the United States on Wednesday, 21+ th June, and
with other members of the Administration on that day and the
following day. In London I will attend the Prime Ministers'
meeting between the dates of 8th and 15th July.
My wife will accompany me. My private Secretary,
Miss L. H. Craig, and Sir John Bunting, Secretary to the Prime
Minister's Department, will also be with me.
