VISIT OF MR. AVERELL HARRIMAN
Statement by the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon, Sir
Robert Menzies
The Prime Minist-er ( Sir Robert Menzies)
announced today that Mr. Averell Harriman, Under-
Secretary of State for Political Affairs in the
Unittod States of America will pay a short visit to
Australia following the A. NZUS meeting in Wellington,
Now Zealand, which concludes on 6th June.
Mr. Harriman will arrive in Canberra
on the evening of Thursday, 6th June and will have
talks with Cabinet Ministers in Canberra on Friday,
7th June. He will leave Australia for overseas on
Sunday, 9th June.
