Statement by the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. RG. Menzies
The Prime Minister announced today that he
would meet members of the Committee of Economic Enquiry,
established under the chairmanship of Dr. J. Vernon, in
Canberra on Thursday this week.
Mr. Menzies also announced that Dr. FB.
Horner, First Assistant Statistician of the Bureau of
Census and Statistics, will be the Secretary of the
Committee and its Senior Officer, and that Mr. A. Wo
McCasker of the Prime Minister's Department has also been
appointed Executive Officer to assist the Committee.
