The Prime Minister, Mr. Menzies, announced today that he has appointed Senator the Honourable J. G. Gorton, Minister for the Navy, as Minister-in-Charge of the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research
Organization. Since the changes in the Ministry, late in December last, the Prime Minister has, himself, been responsible for the C. S. I. R. O.
