PRIME MINISTER'S XI v. WEST INDIES
Canberra, 18th February, 1961
The Prime Minister ( Mr. Menzies) today announced
the names of the players from whom he will select his Prime
Minister's XI to play against the West Indies at Manuka
Oval, Canberra, on Saturday, February 18th.
Those who have accepted invitations to play are

N. Harvey ( NSW)
W. Grout ( Qld)
N. O'Neill ( NSW)
C. McDonald ( Vie)
A. Connolly ( Vie)
W. Lawry ( Vic)
M. Holten, MP( Vic)
J. Cope ( Canberra)
G. Goonesena( Canberra)
B. James ( Yass)
In announcing his team, Mr. Menzios said:
" I am very grateful to the players in making
themselves available at the end of an arduous season. I know,
however, that the match will give great pleasure to the people
of the A. C. T. and surrounding districts and that it will
provide a material benefit to Canberra Legacy".
