STATEMENT BY THE PRIME MINISTER, THE HON P J KEATING
PRIME MINISTER'S RURAL AND REGIONAL TASKFORCE
I am pleased to announce that the Rural and Regional Taskforce headed by
the Member for Page, Mr Harry Woods, will be visiting Launceston tomorrow,
to discuss the Federal Government's range of business improvement
programs.
The taskforce will meet local government, business and industry
representatives. The taskforce will discuss the formation of AUSINDUSTRY and the existing
Department of Primary Industries and Energy Agribusiness program, which is
now incorporated within the AUSINDUSTRY framework.
The taskforce will also visit several enterprises and facilities funded under the
Agribusiness program.
