Prime Minister Bolger of New Zealand will visit Australia
from 4-6 February 1991 accompanied by Mr Philip Burdon,
Minister for Commerce and Industry and Minister for Trade
Negotiations. This will be Mr Bolger's first visit to
Australia as Prime Minister.
Prime Minister Bolger will meet with me and other Government
Ministers in a series of meetings in Canberra on 4 February.
We will discuss multilateral issues such as the Gulf Crisis
and the Uruguay Round as well as bilateral issues, including
progress in Closer Economic Relations.
The relationship with New Zealand remains one of Australia's
closest bilateral relationships. I welcome Prime Minister
Bolger's visit and look forward to close and continuing
contact with him.
