The third Hawke Ministry was sworn in at Government House,
Canberra, this morning. The Governor-General had available
to hm the advice of the Commonwealth Solicitor-General,
Dr Gavan Griffith, QC, to the effect that there is no
constitutional bar to more than one Minister administering a
Department of State.
A copy of that advice is available, on request, from the
Priwo Rinister's press office.
The Governor-General also approved the new Administrative
Arrangemento Order.
Attached, in amplification oC the administrative changes
provided with the media release of 14 July 1987, is a list
of tho location of a number of functions and inctitutions
not rentioned in that release.
