The Prime Minister and the Treasurer today had valuable
discussions with representatives of the Business Council
of Australia on aspects of the Government's tax package
of particular interest to business.
They were apprised of the details of changes announced
today by the Government on the Imputation System and
other aspects of the September package.
It was agreed that further consultations will be held in
February to discuss details of the operation of some of
the measures.
The Business Council has undertaken to provide the
Government with a full list of the matters which it
would like discussed.
