I am pleased to be able to announce that the Queen and
the Duke of Edinburgh have agreed to a program for their
visit to Australia between 2 and 13 March 1986.
The Queen will visit South Australia ( as part of that
State's Sesquicentary Celebrations), the ACT, New South
Wales and Victoria.
The Premiers will be releasing details of the State programs.
During her visit to the ACT from March 2 4 the Queen
will unveil a National Naval Memorial in Anzac Parade
and hold an investiture at Government House for recipients
of Order of Australia awards.
She will also attend a reception at Parliament House.
