The Prime Minister has sent the following telegram to
Mr Phil Ande:-son who is leading the Tour de France cycling
race: " My congratulations on what you have achieved
so far in the Tour de France.
Australia is following with keen interest your
progress in the race, and on behalf of all
Australians, I wish you well in the stages
to come.
Good luck, and keep pedalling. Australia is
cheering for you. Malcolm Fraser"
