RAAF ASSISTANCE TO AUSTRALIAN PARACHUTE TEAM
The Prime Minister announced today that a RAAF aircraft
would be made available to the Australian Parachute Team
to facilitate their training prior to competing in the
World Championiships in France from 22 August to 2 September 1979.
A RAAF Caribou will provide up to thirty-five hours
pre-event training.
The Caribou is the only aircraft with tailgate exit
configuration which the team could use to simulate the
current exit procedures.
The Australian team won a silver medal in Warendorf,
West Germany in 1975 and is keen to improve on that
in this years event. 000---
