" CYCLONE HAZEL"
-WESTERN AUSTRALIA STORM DAMAGE
The Prime Minister has telexed the Premier offering all possible
Commonwealth assistance to the people of Western Australia
affected by storm damage arising from Cyclone " Hazel".
" I learned with concern of the damage and flooding
inflicted on the north-west of the State, particularly
at Carnarvon and Geraldton", Mr Fraser said.
" The joint financial arrangements to support disaster
relief will, of course, apply automatically for a wide
range of agreed measures"
The Prime Minister also said that-he had asked the Premier to
keep him informed.
