PRINCIPAL PRIVATE SECRETARY
Mr Darcy Tronson has been appointed as Principal Private
Secretary to the Prime Minister. Mr Tronson, 32, will take
up the post early in December.
Mr Tronson graduated in law, arnd is currently assistant to
the Federal Director of the Liberal Party, Mr Tony Eggleton.
He will succeed Mr Dale Budd, who after more than
3 years as Mr Fraser's Principal Private Secretary is resuming
a career as a management consultant.
As Principal Private Secretary, Mr Tronson will take over
responsibility for managing and co-ordinating the work of
the Prime Minister's office.
The Prime Minister said he wished to pay tribute to the high calibre
of Mr Budd's work as a senior member of his private staff, both
in Opposition and in Government.
