INDIA: CYCLONE RELIEF
The Australian Government has offered $ 100,000 to India
for the relief of victims and the rehabilitation of areas
devastated by the recent cyclones in Tamil Nadu and Andhra
Pradesh. The Prime Minister has sent a message to the Indian Prime
Minister, Mr. Morarji Desai, informing him of this offer and
expressing the deep sympathy of the Australian Government
and pebple at7-1h&-l6ss Of life, suffering and damage caused
by the cyclones.
The Foreign Minister has also sent a message of sympathy to
his Indian counterpart.
