FILM ANIJ TELEVISION SCHOOL
The Acting Prime Minister, Mr Anthony, today announced
on behalf of the Prime Minister the appointment of three members
to the Council of the Film and Television School.
Mr Anthony said Mr Tom M. Jeffrey, a Sydney film and
television director, has joined the Council as Chairman, a three
year part-time appointment.
Mr Jeffrey was previously Chairman of the Australia
Council's Film, Radio and Television Board and has had a long
career as a film and television director with the Australian
Broadcasting Commission and the British Broadcasting Corporation.
He recently directed the feature film " The Removalists".
Mr Anthony also announced the appointment of Mr Ken F. Watts
and Barry 0. Jones to the School Council, both for three
ycars, Mr Watts is Chairman of the Australian Film Commission
and was formerly Assistant General Manager ( Television), Australian
Broadcasting Commission.
Mr Jones has been associated with the Film and Television
School for a number of years and is a past-Chairman of the School
