VISIT TO AUSTRALIA BY THE PRIME MINISTER OF BAHRAIN
His Excellency Shaikh Khalifa bin Sulman Al Khalifa, the
Prime Minister of Bahrain has accepted the invitation of
the Commonwealth Government to visit Australia in late
September this year.
The Prime Minister is the brother of the Emir of Bahrain.
Australia has had ties with Bahrain, including representation,
for many years and Bahrain is an important point on Qantas
rcutes to Europe. The visit of the Prime Minister is
expected to -further the ties between the two countries and
to lead to a-' greater interchange at economic, commercial
