MINISTERIAL COMMITTEE ON SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY
The Prime Minister today announced the membership of
the Ministerial Committee established to co-ordinate the
Government's programs on science and technology.
The Committee will be the channel through which the Australian
Science and Technology Council ( ASTEC) will advise the
Government on matters relating to the development and
utilisation of science and technology.
The members are:
The Minister for Science ( Chairman)
The Treasurer
The minister for Minerals and Energy
The Minister for Agriculture
The Minister for Health
The Minister for Manufacturing Industry
The Minister for Environment.
