ROYAL COMMISSION INTO HUMAN RELATIONSHIPS
The Prime Minister, Mr Whitlam, said today that he
had received a letter from the Premier of New South Wales
stating that the New South Wales Government was prepared
to assist the Royal Commission into Human Relationships in
its inquiries. The State will provide information and advice in
response to particular requests of the Commission as it
is able to do. The Premier also put forward arrangements
for liaison with the New South Wales Government.
Mr Whitlam. said that he was pleased with this
co-operative attitude of the Premier*. ., The assistance
offered by him together with that promised by the
Premiers of South Australia, Victoria and Tasmania should
assist considerably the Royal Commission in its task.
The Prime Minister said that he hoped the Premiers
of Queensland and Western Australia would be able to
advise him soon of their willingness to co-operate. with
the work of the Royal Commission.
